Wallace Falls

Today, James and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and take a hike up at Wallace Falls.  James had been there before, but I never had.  The hike itself took us about 3 hours round-trip: 2.75 miles to the top, and another 2.75 miles down :)  A gain of about 1700 feet in elevation, with some very steep spots.  Poor Maggie was dragging by the end.

Here are some pictures of our hike:

This is the view from the "Lower Falls".  We hiked all the way up to about the top of the falls you can see.  Just to prove we were there:

And the view from the "Middle Falls":

This is the view from the "Upper Falls" - I think it is the least spectacular of the three:

Another draw for heading out that direction was to check out a gluten-free bakery we recently found out about.  Sadly they use potato starch, so no treats for me.  We ended up getting some ridiculously over-priced sushi that didn't taste very good - although it may have been the price flavouring.

We'll see how sore our legs are tomorrow :)
