Off the Hook

A few weeks ago I finally finished this blanket:

This is the "Buttercup Baby Blanket" from the book Seamless Crochet.  I am in love with this technique!  Although the blanket looks like it is made up of little individual squares for each flower, it is worked in one continuous piece.  I did a row of half flowers, and then worked back across the row, completing it.  Saves a lot of time, because there are hardly any ends to weave in, and no seaming.  Looking forward to trying this out with other motifs, now that I have the hang of it.  I will also probably repeat this blanket in the future.  If you crochet, you should definitely check out this technique.

I made this blanket for a coworker's baby girl.  I was so honoured that they decided to use the blanket in her newborn photo shoot!

I currently have another baby blanket on the hook, and two more projects planned.  Should keep me busy for quite a while.
